Bill determined on a career in the food industry early on, earning an Associate Degree in Food Science with a concentration in Dairy from the State University of New York at Canton in 1974. His career commenced immediately afterwards, at Curtice Burns Foods in Oakfield, New York, as Production Supervisor and Warehouse Manager for low-acid canned foods and carbonated beverage manufacturing.

From 1980-1989, he worked at Curtice Burns’ Brockport, New York, facility as Plant Manager of its Frozen Repackaging Operation, processing 120-million pounds of frozen vegetables annually. He served from 1989-1993 as General Manager of East Coast Refrigerated Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Curtice Burns in Vineland, overseeing 50-million pounds of annual frozen repackaging output, in a 2.8-million-cubic-feet public refrigerated warehouse space.

In 1993, Bill left Curtice Burns to become Vice-President of Operations for Safeway Freezer Storage, responsible for three public refrigerated warehouses with a combined capacity of 8.8 million cubic feet. When the Tedescos acquired Safeway in 2010, Bill retained his Vice-President of Operations position. He is charged with the coordination of handling and storage services of 300-million pounds annually of various food products.

Bill was raised in Massena, New York, and is today a native of Vineland with his wife, Lisa. Bill enjoys spending time with his three children and three grandchildren. He also is an avid boater with his wife and kids.
