A 1986 graduate of Cumberland County College in Vineland, New Jersey, Philip holds a CDL License with all endorsements. In 2009, he was appointed Vice-President of Operations for Safeway Distributors, the company’s onsite freight operation. His responsibilities include the operation, scheduling, dispatching, and maintenance of the division’s fleet of refrigerated tractor-trailers, dry vans, and flatbed trailers, with routes throughout the Mid-Atlantic and pier service for Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware ports.
His previous experience in business ownership and logistics prepared Philip for his role in the Safeway Freezer Storage organization. From 1986-2005, he owned a Vineland, New Jersey custom sign and embroidery business; from 1997 to 2009, a Vineland trucking company. From 1986 to 2009, he managed Atlantic Sweetener’s Warehouse and Logistics Departments in Hammonton, New Jersey. From 2000 to 2010, he managed and operated Ship-It Import and Export Service of Vineland.
A Vineland native, he continues to live in that southern New Jersey town, with his daughters, Megan and Ashley. Outside business hours, Philip enjoys riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
