Larry’s career in the food manufacturing industry began in 1998 as Systems Administrator for MissaBay. He was responsible for network infrastructure and computer/network hardware for the Swedesboro, New Jersey, company’s four facilities, supporting 250 users and 13 servers. He was project lead for all IT activities involving new facilities and was also the primary IT liaison for the company’s internal projects.
Larry joined Safeway Freezer Storage in January, 2010, as Director of Information Services, having previously served in a consulting capacity for the new Tedesco ownership on infrastructure designs and future growth needs. His duties include design and implementation of the wired/wireless network, updating the plant’s TMS and WMS applications in support of warehouse/logistics functions, updating the computer hardware, and steamlining Safeway’s day-to-day functions with advanced technology.
Born in the small Pennsylvania town of Palmerton, Larry resides in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Teresa, and their two daughters, Alyssa and Samantha. An avid saltwater sportsman, he also enjoys coaching girls’ volleyball at the high school and Junior Olympic level.
